In 2013 I produced a logo for Scoops Gelato, a dessert parlour on the south coast. The text was hand drawn digitally and accompanied by abstract patterns, loosely related to ice cream but open to interpretation by the viewer. The logo can work in three ways, full decorative, hexagonal only and text only.
Recently I decided to redesign the branding to what I had envisioned it to be in its entirety. In keeping with a quirky style, I chose to go with a kawaii inspired look with elements that would run throughout the whole identity: bold title type, patterns, vibrant colours and busy layouts. I made 4 illustrations that matched the style of the original logo, which were then used as category icons to place on various printed matter where applicable.
Due to the many design elements of the branding, it can be adapted to create an array of different looks, whilst maintaining consistency as a whole.
